Church of St Teresa follows the Personal Data Protection Policy of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore

1. Terms of Use

1.1. Thank you for visiting us. The website stteresa.sg domain (“Website”) is provided by the Church of St Teresa (the “Church”). This page states the terms and conditions (the “Terms” or the “Agreement”) under which you may access, read or use (“Use”, “Using”) the Website. Please read this page carefully. By Using the Website you accept and agree to be bound, without limitation or qualification, by these Terms.

1.2. If you do not accept any of the Terms stated here, DO NOT Use the Website. EXIT NOW. The Church may, in its sole discretion, modify or revise these Terms at any time. The modified or revised Terms shall be posted at this page. Any Use of the Website after the posting of the modification or revision signifies your acceptance of and agreement to the modified or revised Terms. You should therefore visit this page periodically to review the Terms.

2. Material on the Website

2.1. The contents of this Website, including but not limited to all text, software, photographs, graphics, illustrations, artwork, video, music, sound, names, logos, and other material (“Material”) are protected by copyright and other laws. The Material includes both content owned or controlled by the Church and content owned or controlled by third parties and licensed to the Church. All trademarks are acknowledged.

2.2. You may Use the Material solely for your personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not, at any time, download or Use more than a single copy of the Material. The permission given to you to Use the Material does not allow you to reproduce, modify, display, publicly perform, distribute, or otherwise use the Material in any way for any public or commercial purpose without the Church’s prior written permission. You are also not allowed to sell or otherwise deal with the Material.

2.3. If you would like information about obtaining the Church’s permission to use any of the Material other than as set out above or would like to link to us, please contact us.

2.4. Non-observance of these Terms automatically terminates the permission given to you herein. In those circumstances, you must immediately cease any use of the Material and destroy any copies of the Material which you have made.

3. No Warranties

3.1. The Website and Material are provided on an “as is, where is” basis without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The Church, its suppliers and licensors, to the fullest extent permitted by law, disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of title, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement of proprietary or third party rights. The Church, its suppliers and licensors make no warranties about the availability, suitability, accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the material, services, text, graphics and links present on or at the Website.

3.2. The Church does not warrant that the Website will operate error-free or that the Website or the computing infrastructure hosting it is free of computer viruses or other harmful items. If your use of the Website or Material results in the need for servicing or replacing equipment or data, the Church is not responsible for those costs.

3.3. If the Material belongs to or is otherwise provided by third parties, the Church shall not be held responsible to anyone in connection with or in relation to any such third party material.

4. Limitation of Liability / Disclaimer of Damages

In no event shall the Church (including its officials, employees, servants and agents), its suppliers and licensors be liable to any user or any third party for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or lost profits) resulting from the use or inability to use the Website or the Material, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not the Church has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

5.1. The Church may, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, remove, or disable access to, any Material on the Website that infringes on the rights of others. 7.1. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Church, its priests, officers, employees, volunteers and agents, from and against any claims, actions or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, in connection with or resulting from your use of the Material (including Software) or your breach of these Terms.

8. Personal Data and Web traffic

8.1. Use of this Website and the provision of any personal data to the Church via the Website is also subject to the Church’s Privacy Policy which may be found on the tab entitled “Privacy Policy” on this page. Please take a moment to read the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time.

8.2. In addition to the information we collect directly from you, we also monitor and track usage of our Website, viewing and traffic patterns, visitor and other similar information. 9.2. All issues arising from or related to the use of the Website shall be construed in accordance with and determined by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. By using this Website, you agree that the exclusive forum for the bringing of any claims or causes of action arising out of or relating to your use of this Website is in Singapore. You hereby accept and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Singapore in any such proceeding or action, and irrevocably waive, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any objection which you may now or hereafter have to the laying of the venue of any such action or proceeding brought in such a court and any claim that any such action or proceeding brought in such a court has been brought in an inconvenient forum.

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any term of this Agreement shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term. Except as expressly provided in a particular “Legal Notice” for Software or material on particular web pages, this Agreement constitutes the entire Agreement between you and the Church with respect to the use of Website. Any changes to this Agreement must be made in writing, signed by an authorised representative of the Church.

When you make enquiries, we may keep your email address for our future reference.

We compile this information into a statistical aggregate and use this information for internal purposes which includes improving our website, our offerings, our operations, and our service.

 

We will not reveal information to any external organization unless we are required by law. In addition, we only permit authorised employees and/or volunteers, who are trained in the proper handling of customer information, to have access to that information.
