Catechetical Ministry

“The definitive aim of catechesis is to put people not only in touch, but also in intimacy, with Jesus Christ.”

- Catechesi Tradendae in the General Directory for Catechesis #80

The word “catechesis” comes from a Greek word meaning “to echo” or “hand down what has been received”. Our catechetical programme is aimed to guide young people to nurture a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the Church, and we seek to initiate the young person into the entire Christian life, which culminates in their participation in community and mission.

It is for children starting at age 7 (Primary 1) to age 16 (Secondary 4).

Catechetical sessions are conducted year-round except school holidays:
Saturdays 3.30pm – 5pm: Level 7 to Level 10 (Secondary 1 to 4)
Sundays 9.30am – 11am: Foundation to Level 6 (Primary 1 to Primary 6)

Spiritual Director: Reverend Father Augustine Joseph

Catechist Lead: Dennis Wong
